Morning exercise over evening exercise.

Waking up in the morning is a great struggle for many people, and it can make these people rather grouchy throughout the day if they have to get up out of bed early. I myself struggle on occasions and think how on earth do I manage to get up on these days. So I started exercising in the morning, instead of later on through the day. It honestly feels so much better, personally I find it a great start to the day. Exercising in the morning will increase happiness and reduce the fatigue of the mornings. Even if it is only 10 minutes worth of exercise I still find it helps a helluva lot, especially to reduce sleep eyes in the morning. The other advantage of doing exercise of a morning is that you aren't as exhausted as if you were attempting exercising after a tiring day out at work/educational places. I personally don't attend a gym to do my exercising so it is a lot easier for me just to roll out of bed and workout (sometimes I will exercise in my pyjamas it's just that easy,…

Birmingham German Market

The festive season is upon us once again and it is that time of year when Birmingham have their German market. I know it isn't even December yet and recognise that Christmas associations should not be around until the 1st of December but I still have attended something Christmas related oops (total Scrooge here but hey ho). The German market is an absolutely brilliant way to get into the Christmas spirit because it has so much German festivity, like bright lights and hot chocolate (not forgetting the very strong German beer! omnomnom). The market is also packed with a great variety of potential Christmas gifts for family and friends. This year the market is bigger than ever going through the high street all the way around to the library, thus there is an even bigger selection of gifts, foods, drinks, and a helluva lot of pretty things! I would most certainly recommend attending this event if you are ever in the area, it is open pretty much all day every day, however, I would persu…

How to stay warm in a really cold house

The house I am renting in with my friends is a pretty old, tall and extremely cold house. As uni students we tend to avoid putting the heating on, particularly considering our gas and electric bills are paid via meters. It's a sad truth that it has been colder in our house than it is outside on most days. Except recently, there's been a rather big chill which is hand numbing, sadly. So the room I sleep in is the basement, and as you can imagine it is really really cold! Thus over the past few weeks, particularly this last one, I have been attempting ways at making sure I don't freeze into an ice cube over night. (Honestly, I dread to think how other people cope with colder weather than what we have in the UK).

Step one - Massive Duvet!

My duvet is a king-size, thankfully, which makes its ratio rather large when spread across my bed. I got the duvet from an Asda home store and it was surprisingly cheap considering it was the biggest one (cheaper than the ones from b&m!)…

Sea life!!!!

My boyfriend asked me when I moved back to university, which was roughly two months ago, to go on a date with him. It took ages for us to decide because we were just thinking of food places even though it's not really something we like to do, so this made the decision even longer! Until we realised we both wanted to go to the sea life centre in Birmingham so why not kill two birds with one stone hey? It wasn't until last Saturday that we got to go however, but it was awesome! We had to get the train dead early to get into Birmingham and so that we could spend ages there. First thing as you walk in guess what there is, freaking PENGUINS, yeah that's right (sadly they were too fast to actually get a decent photo). There was one penguin there which was following the keeper around trying to attack the stick which was quite amusing.
Going around from that there were so many cute little marine fish, like nemo! And starfish which are so pretty! There was then a massive tank whi…
